As I was a mom with one child with me, and other babies within the cradle worked 12 hours a day grinding floors and cutting off wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing started to seem logical, however it was still far from being finished. It was going to take an enormous amount of effort and my personal favorite brands to furnish this home. My three sons and I were looking for the hidden treasures attending estate sales in order to reduce my expenses. We used to go on a weekly basis of walking around auctions and garage sales on Sundays and Saturdays and purchase a range of pieces old and newly made. I'd spend my workdays in the driveway painting or sanding. The look was a little similar to this... This is the place where my passion for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. Even after our house was furnished I couldn't stop! I rented a booth in the market at my local location and sold pieces there. In the end, I had lots of pieces, I didn't think of a solution and my storage space was a mess. Then I began hosting open houses in my home where over 1 000 people would come through in one weekend, and purchase anything they wanted in the first floor. Growing Days was founded in my home. While my company grew and so did our small family. It was essential to find the right balance to me. I wanted to balance being a mother and a successful business owner. Growing Days was the obvious decision. My beautiful Nora arrived in the year 2013, our fourth child. This was an excellent direction for my business however I was also in need of an escape. I decided to take some break from my antique furniture and remain at home with the kids. At the time, it was what I wanted. But after a short time the phone started to ring. I began receiving messages from individuals asking for assistance with home improvements as well as interior design. The majority of people who contacted me came from people who came to my house at one of the furniture open houses. I began to take on customers one by one working at my own pace however it wasn't long before I had multiple accounts and was running a complete home renovation business. When you first told me about my business in home renovation I laughed. It's fun to reflect on it.
