Then, thousands of other students joined in the #FridaysforFuture campaign. They stayed home on Friday to demonstrate against the effects of climate change. Climate activists from across the globe came together to organize the very inaugural Global Strike for Climate. The event was hugely successful. Over 1.6 million people from 125 nations took part.
