Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. She is known for her role as naive charming characters. Adams was born and lived in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest of seven children. Her father served in U.S. service in Italy. At the beginning of 1990, Adams began performing and dancing professionally for the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to Minnesota and was cast in Drop Dead Gorgeous, a documentary mock film that focused on beauty contests. The film's debut on screen was a bright-eyed but sweet contestant. After that the move her home to Los Angeles in order to explore a career as an actor. She was married to actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and she was the mom of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh began her filming career when she signed an MGM contract in the mid-1940s. Her work was noticed by actress and model Norma shearer. Through the years that followed, she appeared in many well-known films like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
