Her birthplace was Roswell on March 29, 1985. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her name at birth. Gerina Stevenson's parents were Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. Stevenson is Mexican as well as American. Ever since she was young she's been extremely keen on playing sports. Gerina was a golfer in her first game at age 15. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School. While she was in high school, she took home her first prize in the New Mexico state golf tournament. A volleyball player, she participated in state championships. Her first college was the University of Texas. As a senior, she won every tournament she participated. During the undergraduate seasons, she won the Conference USA's player of the year as well as UTEP Female Athletic of the Year.
